What is SMP?

SMP, or Scalp Micropigmentation, is a non-surgical, superficial cosmetic hair tattoo that gives the illusion of a close buzz cut hairstyle.

Why SMP?

The procedure is perfect for, but not limited to, a bald head or a thinning crown/hairline that needs density. SMP can also be used to conceal scars from hair transplantation and hide the visual impact of burns or scars on the head.

How is it different from a traditional tattoo?

This treatment is superficial in that it penetrates the epidermal level of the skin unlike a traditional tattoo which penetrates deeper into the dermal layer. It is also hundreds of dots on your scalp so the needle is not dragging your skin, but instead an "in-out" motion. Therefore, pain is extremely minimal with SMP.
